Our Approach
we approach care intentionally, and with integrity. From the way we select our providers, to the methods we use to facilitate growth and change.
When people feel hopeless, we help them feel safe to create, dream, imagine, discover & reinvent.
- Dr. Dewbray
Patients get better not only because their therapist is skilled, but because they are a good fit. During your very first call to us, we carefully assess your needs, and thoughtfully pair you with a provider that can best help you (or the provider you select). From there, your therapist will utilize evidence-based methods to facilitate your care. They will show up as relatable and compassionate human-beings, who seek to know and understand you. This trusting relationship, that feels safe and accepting, will be the foundation for change.
You are our priority. Your life, needs, struggles, and ambitions are the focus of our work. Our first session is spent learning about you, through intentional conversation (not a check list of questions), understanding how we can help you, and getting to work. It’s our mission for each patient to feel some degree of relief, and a whole lot of hope when they walk out our door.
Our methods not only help you feel better, but empower you with skills and insight to create lasting change. We rely on cognitive, behavioral and affective treatment models that are grounded in science and evidence. Modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused, Family Systems, Psychodynamic, and Interpersonal Therapy, among others.
Our therapies are
flexible, integrative, and customized
to meet your needs.
We make connections. We listen for how your body, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors interact. Did you know that 90% of serotonin (your feel good hormone!), is found in your digestive tract? The foods we eat and the health of our gut directly affects our mood and well-being. Did you know that thyroid conditions can cause anxiety and depression? Or that stress affects our thinking, behaviors, and health? In an effort to get to the root of a problem, we may make referrals to other disciplines. Examples include gut microbiome and nutrition, hormone health, musculoskeletal and movement, and autoimmune conditions, among others. We are committed to comprehensive care that brings you relief, and will initiate a collaborative effort when it makes sense for you.
